There used to be some information here about AtGuard. I wrote AtGuard's httpfilt.vxd and later, after WRQ gave it to Symantec, Norton Internet Security's symfilt.vxd.

For AtGuard information and support, Tom Rapid used to run an excellent forum replete with archives of past bulletinboard.atguard.com posts, FAQs, troubleshooting info, and even links to other firewall and ad-filtering related sites, but after a couple years of that, Tom has moved on to other things.

The very outdated @Guard (what we called it before it was AtGuard) FAQ is here, but a really great set of AtGuard resources can be found at http://lists.gpick.com/pages/AtGuard.htm

A short comment about US Patent 6529938 - my original design for the thing that was eventually called AtGuard, mentioned in that patent, included centralized server control specifically for use in an enterprise environment. I still have the original design documents and overhead transparencies showing AtGuard as a client firewall receiving rulesets from a central authority. It may be prior art as far as that patent goes. - Aaron Logue, 08/02/2008
